Answer:

Vishwanath was more successful in conserving the sapling they had planted.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : No of saplings Vishwanath planted = 60

no of plants flourished = 40

No of saplings Raghunath planted = 150

no of plants flourished = 90

who is  more successful = ?

Solution : Vishwanath's conserving ratio = no of plants flourished/ no of

                                                                       saplings planted

                                                                   = 40 /60

                                                                    = 2/3

                                                      % Conserved = 100 x ratio

                                                                             = 100 x 2/3

                                                                             = 66.67 %

Raghunath's conserving ratio = no of plants flourished/ no of

                                                                       saplings planted

                                                       = 90/150

                                                        = 3/5

                                % Conserved = 100 x ratio

                                                       = 100 x 3/5

                                                       = 60 %

Since Vishwanath's conservation % is more than Raghunath's, Vishwanath

is more successful
