so we will subtract the mp by sp

Mp = 14250

Sp = 11970

Discount amount = 14250 - 11970 = 2280

discount % = discount / mp × 100

= 2280 / 14250 × 100

= 16 %

so discount is Rs.2280 and discount% is 16%
