Of the candidates who sat for an international mathematics examination, 18% of the candidates obtained
grade A, 38% obtained grade B and the rest obtained grade C. Given that 77 candidates obtained grade C,
find the total number of candidates who sat for the examination.​

grade A=18%

grade B=38%

grade C= 100-(18+38)

grade C=44%.

therefore,

44% of T= 77

11/25 of T = 77

T= 77 ÷11/25

T=77×25/11

T=175
