Let consecutive Number= x,x+1,,x+2
Greatest is=x+2
Smallest=x
Middle=x+1
a/q
5x=4 (x+2)+9
5x=4x+8+9
5x-4x=8+9
x=17
Smallest =17

Now consecutive numbers=17,18,19

Check
5x=4(x+2)+9
5×17=4(17+2)+9
85=76+9
85=85

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Correct Question :-

The Sum of the three consecutive natural numbers five times the smallest number is 9 more than 4 times the greatest number find the numbers.

Solution :-

Let the three consecutive numbers are x - 1, x and x + 1.

According to the Question,

⇒ 5(x - 1) = 9 + 4(x + 1)

⇒ 5x - 5 = 9 + 4x + 4

x = 18

1st number = x - 1 = 18 - 1 = 17

2nd number = x = 18

3rd Number = x + 1 = 18 + 1 = 19

Hence, the three numbers are 17, 18 and 19.
