Let the first number = x
the second number = y
the third number = z

y = 2x
x = 1/2y

y = 3z
z = 1/3y

average = 44
(x + y + z)/3 = 44
(1/2y + y + 1/3y) = 44 × 3
3/6y + 6/6y + 2/6y = 132
11/6y = 132
y = 132 : 11/6
y = 132 × 6/11
y = 72

x = 1/2y
x = 1/2 × 72
x = 36

z = 1/3y
z = 1/3 × 72
z = 24

The largest number is 72

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

x,y,z

y=2x=3z

average=44=x+y+z/3

therefore,x+y+z=3×44=132

 x+2x+2/3x=132

 3x+2/3x=132

 9x2/3x=132

 11/3x=132

 x=132×3/11=36

therefore,x=36

 y=72

 z=2/3×36

 =24
