Let the first number is x .

According to the question,

2nd number = 2x

but given

2nd number is thrice the 3rd number.

3rd number = 2x ÷ 3 = 2x/3

Now, we have given its average is 44

average =  \frac{sum \: of \: given \: number}{total \: number}  \\  \\  \implies44 =  \frac{x + 2x +   \frac{2x}{3} }{3}  \\  \\  \implies 132 =  \frac{3x + 6x + 2x}{3}  \\  \\  \implies 132  \times 3 = 11x \\  \\  \implies x = 12 \times 3 \\  \\  \implies \boxed {x  = 36}

VERIFICATION :-

Putting value of x in LHS ;

 \frac{36 + 72 + 24}{3}  = 44

= RHS

Hence, the 3 numbers are 24,36 and 72.

The largest number is 72.
