Required Answer :

The height of the cuboid = 0.04 cm

Given :

  • Volume of the cuboid = 200 cm³
  • Length of the cuboid = 1000 mm
  • Breadth of the cuboid = 500 mm

To find :

  • Height of the cuboid

Concept :

Here, in this question we are given the volume, length and breadth of the cuboid and we need to calculate the height. For that firstly, we will convert the length and breadth of the cuboid from millimetre to centimetre. And then by using the formula of volume of cuboid we will get the value of height.

Formula of volume of cuboid :

  • Volume of cuboid = lbh

where,

  • l denotes the length
  • b denotes the breadth
  • h denotes the height

Solution :

As we know,

  • 1 mm = 0.1 cm

In order to convert the value from mm into cm, divide it by 10.

⇒ Length = 1000 ÷ 10

⇒ Length = 100 cm

⇒ Breadth = 500 ÷ 10

⇒ Breadth = 50 cm

The length and breadth of the cuboid is 100 cm and 50 cm respectively.

Calculating the height of the cuboid :

⇒ Volume = l × b × h

⇒ Substituting the given values :

⇒ 200 = 100 × 50 × h

⇒ 200 = 5000 × h

⇒ 200/5000 = h

⇒ Cancelling the zeroes :

⇒ 2/50 = h

⇒ Cancelling by 2 :

⇒ 1/25 = h

⇒ 0.04 = h

Therefore, the height of the cuboid = 0.04 cm

  • Total surface Area of cuboid = 2(lb + bh + hl)
  • Perimeter of cuboid = 4 (length + breadth + height)
  • Total surface area of cube = 6 × side²
  • Volume of cube = side³
  • Perimeter of cube = 12 × side
