Answer:
Square 1 = s1= x cm
Square 2 sides = s2=( x+5)cm
Area A1= x^2 cm^2
Area of A2=( x^2+ 55) cm^2
So,
x^2+ 55=(x+5)^2
x^2+ 55= x^2+10x+25
x^2+10x+25-x^2-55=0
10x-30=0
10x=30
x= 30/10 = 3 cm
So, the sides of s1 = 3cm
And s2 = x+5= 3+ 5= 8 cm
A1= x^2 cm^2= 3^2= 9 cm^2
A2=( x^2+ 55) cm^2= 3^2+55= 64 cm^2
