Yes, it's true children don't switch of lights & fans & leave open taps in washroom. This us due to carelessness of the new generation. The role of us is to aware them. To make them understand the importance of these resources. We can take help our teachers for this stuff. The teachers can explain the importance of these resources to the children & what will happen if these resources are drained because of these resources. These resources are very important for us. We can ask our school for doing campaigns on this issue or organizing competition related to this issue.
