2)The above line means that if Antonio fails to pay the money on the mentioned place and time, Shylock would not gain anything by taking the forfeiture, i.e. a pound of flesh because it is not as valuable or salable as mutton, beef or goat-meat.
3)To make sure that Antonio signs the bond, Shylock pretends to be kind and takes no interest with the loan, because Antonio hated interest. Moreover, instead of taking interest, he includes in the bond, the forfeiture of a pound of the flesh by saying that it is just for fun, to make sure that Antonio agrees to sign the bond.
