What does the narrator wish for in the given line???

In this line poet paid a very high price for neglecting her teeth .She like to eat sweets candies, lollies and did not take care of her teeth and the poet had to suffer.

The poet meant that he had given less attention to his teeth and neglected his teeth since time. He ate all those he wanted which also spoilt the maintenance of the teeth.Thus he suffered from tooth decay and referred to the above lines....
