photosynthesis is a process that takes place in chloroplasts, it is the process of making food i. e. taking in carbondioxide and water (some other elements like photons from sun light, soil nutrients, etc) and convert them into glucose , and some oxygen is given out.

photosynthesis consists of light dependent phase(photosynthetic phase) which takes place in grana(a stack of thylakoids) .in light reaction following events take place:

  1. light absorbtion
  2. hydrolysis
  3. formation of ATP and NADPH

in dark Reaction(it takes place in stroma) the 6-carbon glucose molecule is formed from carbondioxide.
