ok.. so.. everytime i watch the movie interstellar.. i have weird questions in my mind.. so this time it was... lets just say that the watery planets had a 2 star system with the black hole in the centre and the planet between the stars and black hole.. which would to some extent reduce the effects of the tide and lets just say it would give cooper and amelia enough time to set up a telescope which would enable them to see the endurance.. oh wait.. they cant! apparently as shown in the movie, 1 hr on the planet would be about 7 years on earth and after the crew returned to the endurance, they found that romilly had aged.. which meant that time was much slower for him as compared to cooper and amelia who were on the planet.. so thus, the speed too would be different for both... which means that the hubble too might not be able to click pics of certain bodies because they are comparitively much faster.. so, by my calculations, the time taken by the hubble to click a pic would probably be more than the time needed for a body(near a black hole) to travel a certain distance and thus the object would be invisible even to the hubble.. so, we cant say that a planet is inhabited or not by looking at pics until we actually go there ;)... am i wrong?

Answer:
I am not sure
actually I never gave it that much thought
Cooper and ameila were there on those planets to search for the spaceship that crashed there and to see that weather they were comparable for livelihood
the first planet had water and had extremely big waves
and yes 1 hr there was 7 yrs on earth
so when they came back from that planet they saw that romilly had aged cuz the time was slow for him but very fast for them
and yes the the speeds were also different
however the hubble telescope is able to click pictures of planets who are moving very fast or who have already been dead for a million yrs
this again has to do with the speed of light
the stars we see in the night sky can be trillions of light years away and might already be dead or extinct
for hubble it is able to click pics of these stars or planets
the last part is kinda true though
but the time taken by the Hubble to click a pic of a planet near the black hole would be less(I think) cuz as I said it is a telescope that can see the present state of a planet.
does this help
also I love these kinda questions so pls post these more often
thx
