Given :

• Ratio of men and women = 5:4
• The number of men = 140

To find :

• The number of women in the party

According to the question,

Let,

• The number of men be 4x
• The number be women be 5x

➞ Ratio of men = Number of men

➞ 4x = 140

➞ x = 140 ÷ 4

➞ x = 35

So,the value of x is 35.

★ Ratio of women :

➞ 4x

➞ Putting the value of x

➞ 4(35)

➞ 175

So,the number of women in the party is 175.
