we can write this as 3x+1 to the power 1/4 =2 and 3x+1 =2^4 ,3x+1= 16, 3x= 15 x= 15/3 that is 5

ok
as a^2x+ay=3 so we put the value of x and y in equation respectively so new equation is a^2+2a-3=0 .....
now we factorise the equation as a^2+3a-a-3=0 now take common outside a(a+3)-1(a+3)=0
(a-1)(a+3)=0 so value of a=1,-3
