we can write this as 3x+1 to the power 1/4 =2 and 3x+1 =2^4 ,3x+1= 16, 3x= 15 x= 15/3 that is 5

Ritikraj828: now we factorise the equation as a^2+3a-a-3=0 now take common outside a(a+3)-1(a+3)=0
