Hey, here's ur answer

I side with a particular party because I take a strong interest in politics. The party I chose was one with policies that are close to my own ideology and realistic about how they can be achieved. There is another party that is closer to my ideology but is unrealistic in how they seek to implement policy.

For democracy to succeed all voters should make an effort to understand the policies of the political parties, consider which they should support and then vote. Non participation in voting is the greatest threat to democracy.
