Old and weak cells in the body continually die and are replaced by new cell. Does this happens because of cell division

yes ... this happen... because every cell have no potential to divide ..like as heart cell, or injured cell...these type of cell lost the capacity of division ..so it's replaced by new cell.

Yes,the new cells are formed below the old cells and eventually take the place of the old cells and continue the metabolic activities.The old cells get detached as soon as the new cells take their place.
