Japan,italy,Portugal and Germany are some countries in which old age population is high.it is because of the following reasons-
1)one reason is that people are living longer, primarily due to improved nutrition and health facilities and reduction of diseases and injuries.
2) Decrease in birth rate,as compared to death rate is also one reason.
3)reduce in immigration ,that is reduced movement of population between countries and regions.
