olve the following.

1. Pihas wants to lay tiles on the floor. The size of the room is 8 feet × 12 feet. In the

market he got three types of tiles :- 2 feet × 2 feet, 3 feet × 3 feet and 4 feet × 4 feet.

Which size of the tile should he buy for his room so that he can lay without cutting

First Take HCF of the length of the room= 4 feet.

Now, Area of the floor= 8×12 feet²

No. of tiles we used to pave the floor= 8×12/4×4 = 6 tiles.

We have to use 4×4 feet² tiles.
