Given,

Number of families in the village = 220

Quantity of rice required for each family per month = 30kg

Quantity of rice they harvest in 6 months = 56879

Quantity of rice required for whole village per month = 220 × 30 = 6600

Now multiply 6600 with 6,

6600 × 6 = 39600

Thus, the whole village require 39600 kgs of rice for 6 months.

The remaining rice :

= 56879 - 39600

= 17279 kgs.

Therefore, 17279kgs remain with the villagers.

 \huge \underline \mathfrak {Solution:-}

Number of families in the village = 220

Amount of rice required for each family in one month = 30kg

Amount of rice required for the village in one month = 220 × 30 = 6600kg

Amount of rice required for the village in 6 months = 6600 × 6 = 39600kg

Amount of rice harvested by them = 56789 kg

Quantity of rice left = amount of rice harvested by them - amount of rice required for the village in six months

= 56789 - 39600

= 17189 kg

So, 17189 kg of rice will left after 6 months.
