For \: fencing \: the \: lawn \: we \: should \: take \: the \: perimeter \: of \: the \: lawn.

Perimeter \: of \: square \: lawn = 4 \times \: side

 = 4 \times 18 \: cm

 = 72 \: m

So, \: 72 \: m \: wire \: will \: be \: needed \: to \: fence \: the \: lawn.

Cost \: of \: fencing \: one \: metre = Rs \: 2

Therefore, \: the \: cost \: of \: fencing \: 72 \: m \: = 72 \times Rs \: 2

 = Rs \: 144

Total \: cost \: of \: fencing \: the \: lawn \: is \: Rs \: 144.
