On a 120 km long railway track ,a train travel s the first 80km at a uniform speed of 160km/h. calculate the speed with which the train should move rest of the track so as to get the average speed of 80km/h for the entire trip.

Average speed = Total distance / Total time
80 = (120) / (t1 + t2)
t1 + t2 = 1.5
t2 = 1.5 - t1
t2 = 1.5 - (80/160)
t2 = 1 hour
Speed of train to travel rest of the track = Distance / Time
= (120 - 80) / 1
= 40 km/h
80 = (120) / (t1 + t2)
t1 + t2 = 1.5
t2 = 1.5 - t1
t2 = 1.5 - (80/160)
t2 = 1 hour
Speed of train to travel rest of the track = Distance / Time
= (120 - 80) / 1
= 40 km/h
