On a circular track of diameter 200m A AND B STARTS RACE WITH A SPEED OF 5M/S AND 4M/S. RESPECTIVELY. THEN HOW MANY TIMES WILL THEY MEET UP ON STARTING POINTS IN 3 MINUTES

We know that Distance is equal to 200m

First we will find the time which was taken for A to complete 1 round:

Time = Distance ÷ Speed

= 200 ÷ 5

= 40s

Now the time Taken by B:

Time = Distance ÷ Speed

200 ÷ 4

= 50s

Now we will find the LCM

40 = 2³ x 5

50 = 2 x 5²

LCM = 2³ x 5²

= 200s

Now we will find the time they will meet within 3 minutes:

= 200s = 3 min 20 seconds

This answer is more than 3 minutes

So they will not meet each other within 3 minutes.
