Given :-

  • Initial Velocity = 0 m/s
  • Time taken = 1.5 seconds
  • Acceleration = 20 m/s²

To Find :-

  • Distance travelled by the body = ?

Answer :-

  • Distance travelled by the body = 22.5 m

Explaination :-

By using second equation of motion we get :

  • s = ut + ½ at²

Where,

  • s = Distance travelled
  • u = Initial Velocity
  • a = Acceleration
  • t = Time taken

Now, substituting the given in above equation we get :

→ s = 0 × 1.5 + ½ × 20 × (1.5)²

→ s = ½ × 20 × 2.25

→ s = 10 × 2.25

→ s = 22.5 m

Therefore, distance travelled by the body is 22.5 m.

Some other Formulas :

• v² = u² + 2as

• v = u + at

• s = ut + ½ at²
