On a globe the lines running between the two poles are known as longitudes or meridians.

They are actually 360 in numbers. These lines are started from the North Pole and ends to the South Pole. In middle of the globe there is a longitudinal line which is called Prime Meridian which has the value of 0 degree. There is also an Antimeridian line which is present on the west or east of the 180 degree from the Prime Meridian.
