On a map scale 2 in represents 7 miles if two times on the map I 35 km apart how long would a line segment be between the two towns on the map

If its 135km

135 km = 84.375 miles

2/7           = X/84.375

2x84.375 = 7X

168.75      =7X

X              = 168.75/7

X              = 24.1 cm (approximately)

CASE 2

If its 35 km

35km       = 21.875 miles

2/7           = X/21.875

2x21.875 = 7X

7X            = 43.75

 X            = 43.75/7

 X            = 6.25 cm
