the least distance will be the LCM of 40cm, 42cm and 45cm
which is 2520cm=25.2m

We have to find minimum distance, so we will take the LCM of 40, 42 and 45.

Prime factorisation :-

➡ 40 = 2×2×2×5 = 2³×5

➡ 42 = 2×3×7

➡ 45 = 3×3×5 = 3²×5

LCM ( 40, 42, 45 ) = 2³ × 3² × 5 × 7

= 2520

So, after 2520 cm or 2•520m they can cover the compete number of steps.

Hope it will help you !!
