GIVEN

On a number line, points A, B and C are such that

d (A, B) = 5, d (B,C) = 11 and d (A, C) = 6

TO DETERMINE

The point between the other two

EVALUATION

Here it is given that

On a number line, points A, B and C are such that

d (A, B) = 5, d (B,C) = 11 and d (A, C) = 6

∴ d (B,C) = d (A, B) + d (A, C)

Hence from above we can conclude that A is point lies between the points B & C
