So, here we will use linear equation to find out the total number of students.

We will take total number of students as X. So,

2/5X=160

By using transposition method, we take 2/5 to the right hand side because of which 5 will become numerator and 2 will become denominator.

X=160 x 5/2=400

So, the total number of students are 400.
