Given : On a piece of paper, graph y - 3 > 2x + 2.

To find : determine which answer choice matches the graph you drew

Solution:

y - 3 > 2x  +  2

=> y > 2x + 5

x = 0

=> y > 5

x = - 3

=> y > - 1

at x = 0  ,  y = 5

0 < 5

=> origin does not lies in the shaded region

as  y > 2x + 5

=> line y = 2 x+ 5 is not part of solution  ( dotted line )

Hence  Graph C is correct
