Given that,

Weight of box of chocolates on a planet A, W = 3 N

If the box takes 3.50 s to reach the  ground when dropped from a height of 18.5 m.

To find,

The weight of the box on the earth.

Solution,

Let height, h = 18.5 m

Time, t = 3.5 s

Using second equation of motion to find the value of acceleration on planet A. So,

h=\dfrac{1}{2}gt^2\\\\g=\dfrac{2h}{t^2}\\\\g=\dfrac{2\times 18.5}{(3.5)^2}\\\\g=3.02\ m/s^2

Let W' is the weight of the box on Earth. So,

W'=mg'\\\\W'=\dfrac{W}{g}g'\\\\W'=\dfrac{3}{3.02}\times 9.8\\\\W'=9.73\ N, g' is acceleration on Earth

Hence, the weight of the box on the Earth is 9.73 N.
