on a rainy day 94% of the students were present in a school if the number of student absent on that day was 174 find the total strength of the school

Greetings..!

Let the total no of students be valued as 100%.

Then, 94% of it are present.

SO,(100-94) = 6 % of them are absent .

No of students who were absent  = 174

So, we can say , 6% equals to 174

So, 1 % equals to 174/6 = 29

And 100% equals to = 29*100 = 2900

Answer : Hence, total strentgh is 2900
