On a shelf the first row contains 25% of the books in the second row the third row contains 125%of the second row. If the total books are 600 then find the books in each row

If the total number of books contained in all the rows is 600, then find ... second row, and the third row contains 25% less books than ... So, on 1st row =125X2=250 books.
