Given,

The shape of the plot = Square

On half part the farmer wants to grow weed.

In the remaining part he wants to grow four different crops by making four equal parts.

To find,

The division process.

Solution,

We can simply solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process.

(For, the sake of easy understanding, a detailed diagram is attached with this answer.)

  1. The whole plot is denoted as the square ABCD on the attached diagram.
  2. Now, we need to find the midpoints of BC and AD sides. And, then we need to connect those points (point E and point F) to get the EF straight line.
  3. The newly formed EF straight line will bisect the whole square. Now, in the EFCD rectangular part, the weed can be produced.
  4. Now, we need to divide the AB straight line into 4 equal parts and we have taken the division points as Point G, Point H, and point I.
  5. From the points (G,H and I) we need to drop perpendiculars on the EF straight line.  The other ends of the points will be named as Point J, Point K, and Point L.
  6. Now, ABFE rectangle is divided into four smaller and equal rectangles, which are AGJE, GHKJ, HILK and IBFL. In these equal rectangles the other four crops can be grown.

Hence, the plot is divided according to the necessity.
