Dilute solutions of alkali metals in liquid Ammonia are dark blue in colour. If the blue solution is allowed to stand the ,colour slowly fades until it disappears because of the formation of METAL AMIDE.
If solutions are concentrated above 3M then they have a copper- bronze colour because of
formation of metal ion clusters.
If solutions are concentrated above 3M then they have a copper- bronze colour because of
