On an assignment, Kami had the following question:
Solve the following linear system:
3x + 7y = -8
5x + 8y = -6
He rewrote both linear equations in an equivalent form:

3x + 7y = -8 is multiplied by 5 and the equivalent equation is 15x + 35y = -40
5x + 8y = -6 is multiplied by 3 and the equivalent equation is 15x + 24y = -18.

Do you agree or disagree if Kami can multiply both equations by a factor? Give reasons for your answer.
