Hyperbole's are very common, so what your teacher means when saying that the hyperbole's must be original, you must make up your own. Don't use one that's well-known or one from the inter-webs.

Be creative!

Common hyperbole's include:

I'm so hungry I could eat a horse.

She is older than dirt.

He has a brain the size of a pea.

These are all extreme exaggerations, which is what a hyperbole is.

If you think about it, we use hyperbole's all the time. Just think about it. You could come up with great hyperbole's!
