On an election day santhosh walked from a place, 10 km towards south to reach the polling station, then turned left upto 2 km, then took a right turn, and took another 4 kms walk. Again he turned right and walked for 12 kms and took a 14 km walk by turning to north, and there he could see the polling station at a 12 km distance after taking a right turn. Answer:

The Polling Station situated in East direction of his starting point.

Step-by-step explanation:

We do following steps to find the direction of polling station.

Step 1: let Santhosh starts from center say point O and wlked in south direct for 10 km to point A.

Step 2: Now he take left turn and walked 2 km to point B that means he turned in east direction.

Step 3: Now he take right turn and walked 4 km to point C that means he turned again in south direction.

Step 4: Now he take right turn and walked 12 km to point D that means he changed direction to wast direction.

Step 5: Now he take turn  to walk in north direction and walked 14 km to point E.

Step 6: Now he take right turn and see polling station is 12 km from from point E. hear right turn means East direction.

Figure is attached.

Therefore, The Polling Station situated in East direction of his starting point.
