Major industrial region of India.

Explanation:

• The industrial regions are those regions that have the concentration of industries due to the favourable geographical and economic conditions and area were the relatively large scale of the population exists.  In India there are 8 industrial regions as.

• Mumbai-Pune Industrial Region , the development of these regions started with the cotton textile industries in Mumbai having a suitable climate for the growth.

• The Hugli Industrial Region , Kolkata emerged as a major region and later connected railways and roadways, and coupled with the opening of the jute croplands ad coal fields.

• Bengaluru-Tamil Nadu Industrial Region , having coalfields and cotton textile and loom industry was first to spread, followed by the HAL and HTL.  

• Gujarat Industrial Region , lies in ahmedabad and vodardora and extends to Jamnagar in the south. Located in the cotton-growing area has a double advantage of oil fields and the market.

• Chotanagpur Industrial Region , extends to Jharkhand and north Orissa nd west Bengal and is known for the heavy metal industries. Presence of damodar valley and coal and ore deposits,

• Vishakhapatnam-Guntur Industrial Region, deposits of reich reserves of minerals and agriculture area and coals fields to provide energy for sugar textile, jute , paper and fertilizer etc.

• Gurgaon-Delhi-Meerut Industrial Region, having industries of light and market-oriented such as electronics, light engineering and electrical goods are major industries of this region.

• Kollam-Thiruvananthapuram Industrial Region,  agriculture and hydropower provide an industrial base to this region some includes the cotton textile, sugar, rubber, matchbox, glass, chemical fertilizer.
