It was Madras Presidency Legsislative Council elections in the year 1923.
The leader of the Justice Party was Sir P Theagaroya Chetty.
He won the part by 44 seats.
There was a split in parties and then took place the birth of Swarajists.
Most of the members were non brahmins.
