On blowing air into balloon, it inflates, because gasses exerts pressure in all directions. The air filled in the balloon pushes and exerts force in all the directions on the wall of the balloon, hence inflating it.

when we fill the air in a balloon, The balloon inflates due to the pressure of the air inside it. If we fill too much air in the balloon , The balloon will brust because the pressure on the balloon will increase beyond which it's walls can withstand . Air exerts pressure in both upwards and downwards direction.
