12401 =  76 * N + 13
N = (12 401 - 13) / 76 = 12 388/76 = 3 097/19 =  163

163 is the divisor when 12401 is the dividend , 76 is the quotient and 13 is the remainder.

Given:

Dividend = 12401

Quotient = 76

Remainder = 13

To find:

Divisor = ?

Solution:

Given that , Dividend = 12401, Quotient = 76, Remainder = 13.

To find the divisor there is a formula which is related to the given data

Dividend = Divisor × Quotient + Remainder.

Substituting the values in the above formula

\begin{array}{l}{12401=\text {Divisor} \times 76+13} \\ {12401-13=\text {Divisor} \times 76} \\ {12388=\text {Divisor} \times 76} \\ {\text {Divisor}=\frac{12401}{76}=163}\end{array}

If 12401 is the dividend and 76 is the quotient and 13 is the remainder then the divisor is 163.
