Solution:

f(x)=2x^3+x^2-2x-1, g(x)=x+1\\\\ \frac{f(x)}{g(x}}=\frac{2x^3+x^2-2x-1}{x+1}\\\\ \frac{f(x)}{g(x}}=\frac{x^2(2x+1)-1(2x+1)}{x+1}\\\\ \frac{f(x)}{g(x}}=\frac{(x^2-1)(2x+1)}{x+1}\\\\ \frac{f(x)}{g(x}}=\frac{(x-1)(x+1)(2x+1)}{x+1}\\\\\frac{f(x)}{g(x}}=(x-1)(2x+1)

Used the identity, a²-b²=(a-b)(a+b)

x²-1=(x-1)(x+1)
