AnswEr :

(a) Weight of the boy of mass 37 kg will be 37 kg itself.

(b) Weight of the boy of mass 37 kg will be 370 N

GivEn :

Weight of a body = 10 N [On earth ]

Mass of a body = 0.1 kg [On earth ]

Mass of a boy = 37 kg

To find :

Weight of a boy of mass 37 kg in

  • (a) kgf
  • (b) N

Solution :

(a) Weight of a body of mass 37kg = 37 kgf [kilogram force] [It will remain same as their is no conversion needed]

(b) 1kgf = 10N

So,

➝ 37 kgf = 37×10 N

➝ 37 kgf = 370 N

Therefore, weight of the boy of mass 37 kg will be 370 N.

1 kgf = 9.80665 N = 1 N (approx.)

1 kgf weighs 1 kg on Earth [As we have used it in our answer]

M = 101.972 g has a weight force of F = 1 N.

• kg is a mass unit while newton is a force unit.
