Step-by-step explanation:

3( X -1 ) - ( x + 4 ) = x + 5 ( x - 1)

3x - 3 - x - 4 = x + 5x - 5

2x - 7 = 6x - 5

-7 + 5 = 6x - 2x

-2 = 4x

x = -2/4

x = -1/2

Answer:

a)=3(x-1)-(x+4)=x+5(x-1)

= 3×x+3×(-1)-(x+4)=x+5×x+5×(-1)

= 3x+(-3)-x-4=x+5x+(-5)

= 3x-3-x-4=x+5x-5

= 3x-x-3-4=6x-5

= 2x-7=6x-5

now ,

we write the equation of ax+b=cx+d

and,

= 4x-7=6x-5

= -7=6x-5-2x

= -7=6x-2x-5

= -7=4x-5

= -7+5=2x

= -2=4x

= -2/4=x

= x=-1/2
