\huge\bold{\mathbb{\purple{A{\pink{N{\green{S{\blue{W{\red{E{\orange{R}}}}}}}}}}}}}

(a)(x - 1)(x + 4) = (x - 2)(x + 8) \\  \implies {x}^{2} + 4x - x  -  4  =  {x}^{2}  + 8x - 2x - 16 \\  \implies \:  {x}^{2}  -  {x}^{2}  + 3x  - 6x  =  - 16 + 4 \\  \implies - 3x =  - 12 \\  \implies \: x =  \frac{12}{3}  = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

(a) (x-1)(x+4) = (x-2)(x+8)

→ x² + 3x - 4 = x² + 6x - 16

→ - 4 + 16 = 6x - 3x

→ 12 = 3x

→ x = 4

The other two questions are not understandable..
