Sunrise at the north pole and sunset at the south pole take place in March. Due to the refraction of sunlight by Earth’s atmosphere, they do not happen at the same time. In 2018, sunrise at the north pole happens on the 18th of March at 13:45 UTC, and sunset at the south pole happens on the 22nd of March at 18:47 UTC.In 2018, the March equinox is at 16:14:45 UTC on the 20th of March. Therefore, in the northern hemisphere, Vernal Equinox Day is the 20th of March in time zones west of and including UTC+7 and the 21st of March in time zones east of and including UTC+8. In the southern hemisphere, those are the dates of Autumnal Equinox Day.

It will be Sunrise at the North Pole and it will be Sunset on the South Pole. It is because of the sunlight refraction through the Earth that every pole has different setting either the sunrise or the sunset
