Solubility :- an amount of solute that can dissolve in given amount of solvent.
In simple way, solubility = mass of solute/mass of solvent × 100

Here , mass of solute = 0.72 g
mass of solvent = mass of solution - mass of solute = 2.72 - 0.72 =2 g
now, solubility = 0.72/2 × 100 = 72/2 = 36

Hence solubility of substance is 36 . e.g., option (c) is correct.

According to given condition

Mass of Solute(precipitate) = 0.72 gm 
Mass of Solvent     = Mass of Solution - Mass of Solute
                               = 2.72gm - 0.72gm
                               = 2 gm

Using the Formula ,
Solubility of Substance = {Mass of Solute/Mass of Solvent }x 100%
                                      = {0.72/2 } x 100%
                                      = 36%
 So the correct option is C
Thus the solubility of Substance is 36% .
