About the novel

Finders Keepers is a crime novel by American writer Stephen King, published on June 2, 2015. The book is about the murder of lone writer John Rothstein, his missing notebooks, and the release of his killer  after 35 years.

Explanation

• Lufuno Mukwevho is a Johannesburg native who has just relocated to Cape Town. His parents got a job in a bakery. Lufuno misses her best friend, Dudu, and always thinks of her. We initially believe Dudu is still alive in Johannesburg, but we later learn that she is no longer alive.

• Lufuno has typical adolescent issues, such as looking after her obnoxious younger sister, Tshilidzi. In the story, her major difficulty is that she has to transfer to a new high school, Victory High School. Vhavenda is Lufuno and her family.
• Their skin is darker than that of the majority of South Africans. Everyone speaks isiXhosa at her new high school, and she is concerned about being new and different from the other kids.
