Given principal = 12800, Time n = 2 years, R = 25/4.
Simple Interest:
We know that SI = PTR/100
⇒ (12800 * 2 * 25)/(4 * 100)
⇒ 640000/400
⇒ 1600.
So, the amount Sanjay has to pay = 12800 + 1600 = 14400.
Compound interest:
We know that A = P(1 + r/100)^n
⇒ 12800(1 + 25/400)^2
⇒ 12800(1 + 1/16)^2
⇒ 14450.
So, the amount received by sanjay from guest = 14450.
Hence, gain = 14450 - 14400
= 50.
∴Therefore, Amount gained by sanjay = 50.
Hope it helps!
